The pro football season is becoming more intense than ever as playoff games are underway. In honor of the Packers success, Journal Sentinel (Milwaukee, WI) decided to send one lucky reader on an all-expense paid trip to the game in Atlanta. Die-hard packers fans sent a photo of themselves with the GForce poster (included that week in the paper) – one random submission received the trip for two. TMJ 4, the local TV station, reported on the story and even filmed the winner receiving her prize. The clip is posted on the welcome page of the contest. What a unique idea for a giveaway contest!

What a touchdown! The Southern Illinoisan (Carbondale, IL) is running a high school, college and pro football contest this upcoming 2010 season (all sponsored by Buffalo Wild Wings!). In a very smart move, they created a stellar landing page for all three contests. Now, they can direct users to one location where they can pick and choose which contests to participate in. Impressive.

104.5 The Zone (Nashville, TN) cheered for the underdogs this past college football season and encouraged listeners to do the same. Each week, players pick three underdogs teams they believe will win and receive the points allotted to that particular game. This fun, fresh football contest was sponsored by Allstate.

Entries have soared in this gallery WGN (Chicago, IL) created for devoted Blackhawks fans since their beloved team won the Stanley Cup last week. What a wonderful way to interact with your sports community!

Are you a huge Atlanta Braves fan? If so, you’re in luck! AJC (Atlanta, GA) invites readers to pay tribute to a great, long-standing Braves team member – Bobby Cox. Devoted fans uploaded a video honoring Bobby – the video with the most votes gets to throw out the first pitch at a Braves game, every fan’s dream!
