The Advocate New Orleans Jazz Festival

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, first started in 1970, is an annual tradition in New Orleans to celebrate important jazz artists. Read more about the festival here.

The Advocate (Baton Rouge, LA) hosted a sweepstakes to give 12 music fanatics the chance to attend this star-studded event. With a line-up like this, I sure wish I was entered to win. What a great way to integrate a popular local event into a contest!

The Phantom: The Day

The Day (New London, CT) offered readers a chance to win tickets to a local production of Phantom of the Opera with this oh, so clever contest. The phantom mask was placed at  several businesses around town. When readers discovered the location of the mask, they entered the sweepstakes for a chance to win tickets to the show. Each time they noticed the mask in a new location, participants can enter the contest for another chance to win. Check out all the past locations of the mask here. What a creative idea!
