A few weeks ago, we blogged about WGN’s contest tie-in to Prince William’s upcoming nuptials (see previous post here). Well, the entry period has ended, the three finalists have been chosen, and the race to win WGN’s crown is on! Today, those three lucky couples were on WGN’s news segment and participated in a dating show-like game. Check out the fantastic video below. Terrific work, WGN, we can’t wait to see who wins!
Update! On April 28th, the day before the real royal wedding, winners of WGN’s Royal Wedding contest, Shelly & Joey, wed on their Morning News show. Congrats! Watch the full coverage below:
The world is patiently (well, not so patiently, actually) for Prince William and his blushing bride Kate to tie the knot. Mpls.St.Paul Magazine (Minneapolis & St. Paul, MN) helps make the wait a bit more bearable for readers by hosting a look-alike contest contest, and inviting them to a royal watch party.
With a bevy of sponsors, including, myTalk 107.1, Sun Country Airlines, Trafalgar and TCL, this photo contest boasts incredible prizes for the chosen royal couple knockoff: appearance on Twin Cities Live, Manicure, year’s subscription to Mpls.St.Paul Magazine, chance to win a trip to London and more!
In addition to the stellar prizes, readers are invited to a live broadcast of the royal day’s events at a local bar called Brit’s Pub. Cheers, Mpls.St.Paul Magazine, to a lovely contest!
In honor of Prince William & Kate’s approaching vows, WGN-TV (Chicago, IL) decided to throw a Royal Wedding Contest for one lucky couple. The winning couple will be married live on WGN Morning News, one day before the real royal wedding nuptials – the entire wedding package is valued at nearly $60K. Check out the press release for the contest here. Cheers, WGN, great work!
