Do you bleed blue? cougarblue.com and Provo Daily Herald (Provo, UT) team up to award the biggest BYU fan with a prize any fan would kill for: 2 tickets to the BYU versus Wyoming game. From the looks of the submission, lots of BYU fans bleed blue!

All hail the queen! ABC15.com (Phoenix, AZ) uses UPICKEM to invite listeners to voice their vote for the candidate worthy of being crowned the 2010 Fiesta Bowl Queen. The queen and her court serve as ambassadors to the Fiesta Bowl Festival of College Football – which covers more than 40 events! The queen candidates are young women from across Arizona who excel in the areas of community involvement, scholastic achievement, poise and personality. The winner was announced on Sonoran Living Live – a TV segment on ABC 15.

With the close of baseball season just around the corner, players and fans alike are wrought with worry over upcoming tradings and negotiations. Well, put those worries in your back pocket – All Around Philly (Philadelphia, PA) is here to keep Phillies favorite right fielder Jason Werth for another season with this genius (yes, genius) petition/tribute platform. Werth admirers visit this contest to voice their pleas to keep the star player on the Phillies, read articles from sports writers and browse snapshots from Werth’s blazing career. Genius.

We may be a teeny tiny bit biased, but this Halloween photo contest from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch (St. Louis, MO) is quite adorable. Why are we biased, you ask? Because the founder of Makaboo, the sponsor of this contest, is former Second Street employee Cindy Teasdale McGowan! I especially love the customization of the welcome page, especially the little Makaboo monkeys – fantastic job!

Columbus Dispatch’s (Columbus, OH) site centered around parenthood – Columbus Parent gives doting moms and dads a chance to show off their tiny Ohio State fans. The cutest little fan’s (who can choose – one is cuter than the next!) parents will receive a $50 gift card to Buckeye Corner and tickets to the rival game against Purdue – great prizes.

October’s arrival not only brings crisp weather, it also brings hunting season! WHSV-TV (Harrisonburg, VA) gives avid hunters a chance to show off their success during the upcoming season, with the help of sponsor Rockingham Cooperative. The branding for this contest is incredible – love the wood cabin background!
