Insider Tip: Re-Run Popular Deals

March 17th, 2011 Kelly Travis No comments

stltodayhoponit deadline deals
Our research shows that re-running your most successful deals each quarter is beneficial. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch successfully re-ran two popular deals with greatly improved results:
Bartolino’s (an Italian restaurant) originally sold 1,869 cards; five months later they offered it again and sold 3,447 cards.
The first round for The Stable (a brewery/restaurant) sold 331 cards; five months later they sold 680 cards.
Moral of the story: Deals with high appeal have just as much appeal the second time you run them, but you have a larger audience.

The Washington Post’s New Deals Program

washington post capitol deal
For several months now, The Washington Post has been running their popular Deadline Deals program “The Capitol Dish”, which serves stellar restaurant deals to their D.C. area readership. Earlier this week, the Post relaunched their program to include deals other than restaurants; the new program received a fresh design (which i love!) and is aptly named “The Capitol Deal“. Check out the press release here.
