We recently hosted one of our partner’s favorite webinars (okay, it’s one of our favorites, too) – 30 Contest Ideas in 30 Minutes. During this webinar, Julie Foley, our Director of Affiliate Success & Matt Coen, our President, reveals the top 30 contest categories run on UPICKEM in the past year. Each category comes complete with several examples for you to get your contest-building creative juices flowing to help build out your year-long contest calendar.
If you weren’t able to attend the live session, watch a recording in our resource center.
Be sure to check out all the contests mentioned in our webinar.

Best Burger in Town from The Suburban (Saint Laurent, Quebec) is a unique video contest. Burger joints around town entered a video promoting their delectable burgers and readers voted for their favorites. Plus, every time readers vote, they are entered for a chance to win a gift certificate from a participating restaurant. What a clever idea!
This year, more than ever, we’ve seen many great sharp looking college basketball brackets. Here’s just a peek at a few brands that really hit a slam dunk with their aesthetics:
1. P.C. Richard & Son, an electronic superstore, showcased their bracket on their homepage slider.

2. Famous Dave’s, a popular bar-be-que restaurant, boasts a “Million Dollar Madness” image that links to the contest.

3. Fathead (see Fathead Announces One Million Dollar Bracket Contests) posted both upfront and round-by-round bracket on their site for visitors.

KFOR-TV (Oklahoma City, OK) has teamed up with local Mexican restaurant Chelino’s for the “Bottomless Mug” contest. Viewers go online to register for the contest then watch the Rise & Shine Oklahoma Live on the Internet Stream. A clue is inside the daily show. Viewers enter that code on the contest site for a chance to win. The prize? A Chelino’s Bottomless Mug to call their own! Every time they take their mug to an area Chelino’s Mexican Restaurant they can get a refill. A contest that drives traffic to an online show and collects registration information? Now, that’s refreshing!
